Seating
Our seating is set up for comfort and a homey feel. Due to this, our largest seating size is 6 (in the Library room) and the largest table setting is 4.

Our indoor seating areas:
Library-A low noise, child-free room with soft chairs and low side tables
Office-Desks and rolling chairs with lots of outlets for studying or getting work done
First floor dining-Dining room tables and chairs

We also have a covered from porch with two tables capable of holding 4 people each.
Finding us
Appalachian Tea is located at 613 Ohio Avenue in Charleston, WV.

From Huntington/Hurricane/Teays Valley:
Take 64 East and get off exit 58C (Lee Street). Turn left onto West Washington Street, then left again onto Ohio Avenue.

From Beckley:
Take 64 West and get off exit 58C (Washington Street). Turn right onto West Washington Street, then left onto Ohio Avenue.
Large Groups
Because of the layout of our shop, we are not built to easily accommodate large groups, even if we are happy to see them!

Please call ahead if you have a group larger than 4. Very few spaces in the shop can accommodate larger groups and sometimes it is a number we simply cannot seat.
Private Events
We have 4 rooms that can be reserved for private events.

The Library-Set up with 6 comfortable chairs, each with their own small table.
​
The Office- 5 desks and chairs, which can be turned into a small conference table. This room can be entirely closed off from the rest of the shop.
​
Dining Rooms- We have two dining rooms set up with seats and chairs. One can hold a maximum of 4, the other a maximum of 8. They can be reserved together, but please keep in mind that the rooms are distinctly separate.
Children
Kids love tea, and we love to have them! However, because of the nature of our product (hot!) and our retail items (fragile) children under the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult within the shop and are not permitted in the quiet rooms on the second floor unless they are attending an event.
